I am delighted that the Kensington Magazine was readily available and being well read when I last popped up this weekend to The Room with A View in Whole Foods! You might be amused by my saying that the magazine reminds me of the 'New York Review of Books' in having an intellectual charm, as well as having locally-focused integrity, it's an honour to drop off a few copies [to family and friends]! C Middleton-Roy, Resident
Lucy Elliott's magazine is unique - focussed on content that people will read rather than lots of advertising - she is highly professional and totally passionate about what she is doing. I have used the magazine for advertising and Lucy's advice is excellent in terms of design and content. John Leyden FCA, Director Carbon Accountancy
I wish to tell you that I enjoy reading the magazine from the 1st to the last page because it is always interesting and suits my purpose - Resident, Anita Roth
Lumina has been in existence for two years and we have been advertising with The Kensington Magazine for several months now. Most of our customers are local women who pass our shop on the way to the High Street, or to lunch, to the hairdressers or just walking the dog. Picking up new customers who are unaware that we exist has been a challenge. Since we have been advertising with The Kensington Magazine however, readers have gone out of their way to find us. Because we are catering for women who have expressed unhappiness with service and merchandise on the High Street, they have happily responded to our advertising. As a small business we need all the help we can get!
I have to say that The Kensington Magazine's help with the actual artwork for the advertisement has been invaluable and the advert has been remarked upon by other traders. All in all we are very happy with the friendly service we have received from Lucy and her staff and we can recommend her services highly. Janis Hughes, Buyer for Lumina
I meant to email you when you launched the new design of The Kensington Magazine as I thought it looked really good - smart, simple and classic... to congratulate you and tell you how much I like the magazine. You have got the angle just right so it doesn't feel like straight advert-editorial that typifies most of the freebies. I just went through last months - and realised I should collect them so that when I need a local restaurant or service, I know where to go. I'm going to stack them in my guest room for their reference. Lucille Briance, Local Resident, Holland St. W8
Lucy Elliott is an absolute delight to work with and her enthusiasm is very infectious indeed. This is immediately obvious upon meeting with Lucy. Educated Tutors is a high-end Tutor Agency whose clients' children attend the most prestigious independent schools. Thus, The Kensington Magazine is the best suited local medium on a par with our clientele. A testimony to that is that the very first enquiry that we received via The Kensington Magazine allowed us to place one of our high-profile maths & science Tutor in Kensington, - who happens to be an inspirational medical student in fifth year at a prominent London-based medical school and who was himself privately educated. The client's feedback speaks for itself: "Your Tutor is outstanding and both our children are very fond of him". Sophie, Director, Educated Tutors, www.educated-tutors.co.uk
Lucy's Kensington Magazine is just fabulous. The people of Kensington actually read it. Why? Because of Lucy. Lucy does care. She invests herself 300 per cent behind each page and indeed, behind each advertisement. She has proved invaluable to ARTEAST both as an editor and as an advisor. Moreover she is an incredibly lovely lady, she has taste, colour sense, judgement and pride in the finished product. These are essential qualities for us - and indeed for many other people.
We will keep advertising with Lucy as we are getting the local exposure we seek, in a very elegant magazine, but also with a service, second to none. Sylvie Skeet and Patrick Rochette, Directors, ARTEAST 133 Kensington Church St. London W8
I have been delighted with the article and space provided to Econogo by Lucy. She has been invaluable in getting us local exposure which presumably got the attention of a high profile dignitary who went on to become a client of ours. Lucy's charm, drive and tireless enthusiasm for our project gave us a resounding presence in Kensington. I would highly recommend advertising with The Kensington Magazine, to anyone wishing to propagate their business in the area and I look forward to working with Lucy again in the near future. James South, Managing Director, Econogo
Since opening The Kensington Bathrooms we have had the pleasure of working with Lucy, of the Kensington Magazine. Her local knowledge and encouragement have been of great benefit and the advertising we have undertaken to date has helped establish us in Kensington in a remarkably short space of time. With our contact with the public our business has definitely increased since advertising and we look forward to doing more business with Lucy and The Kensington Magazine in the future. Joel Vine, Managing Director, www.kensingtonbathrooms.co.uk
Working with The Kensington Magazine has been a very rewarding experience. Its support of our Notting Hill photography competition was overly-generous, as was the exposure given to our small arts festival. I am sure that this support, combined with the advert we had placed in the magazine, contributed in a bit way to the Notting Hill Mayfest's success. The festival ended up raising over £6,000 for St John's Notting Hill Church and the charitable causes it supports. We would love to be associated with the magazine again in the future. Jamie Singleton, Organiser, Notting Hill Mayfest
I have been really pleased with the response I've had from 'window box' clients to my advertisement in The Kensington Magazine. It has led to enquiries, sales and meeting some very interesting local people who want to share in the pleasures of colourful window sill planting. Beverley Robb, www.myvillagewindowbox.co.uk
Hi Lucy, I love this little magazine. It's a great neighbourhood treat! Emma Hall, Consultant - www.thesmallbusinessconsultancy.com
Dads House is a local charity in Kensington. We would like to thank The Kensington Magazine for all the help, and support they have given us. Through the magazine we have reached and touched people with the work we do within Kensington and Chelsea for single dads, and their children. In activities such as cooking classes, and life coaching. So from all at Dads House, keep up the great work you do in supporting local charities. William Mcgranaghan, CEO, Dads House - www.dadshouse.co.uk
We are delighted to be associated with Lucy Elliott and The Kensington Magazine. We have found it to be very beneficial in raising awareness of the Milestone Hotel inthe local community. Stefan Otto, Food & Beverages Manager, The Milestone Hotel - www.milestonehotel.com
We find that The Kensington Magazine is the best way for us to reach Kensington residents, who are our neighbours here in the Borough and they frequently tell us that this was where they first heard about us. It's highly targeted, engaging and affordable, and for these reasons our primary local media partner. Alison Payne, Business Manager - Auction Atrium - www.auctionatrium.com
The advert was everything I wanted it to be and has proved to be a great success. As a new showroom to the area, the magazine has helped introduce us to the local community and has resulted in more bookings. Lucy Elliott’s service from start to finish has been extremely helpful, professional and above all friendly. I look forward to working with her on the next issues. We run Heirlooms (UK) Ltd. a family run antiques gallery on Kensington Church St. Lucy has been fantastic in many ways not just introducing us in the well published and distributed 'Kensington Magazine' but she also genuinely cares for the businesses around the area and is always willing to offer a very helpful opinion on various matters. We are grateful and appreciate Lucy's dedication and drive to help everyone, and ensure each business gets an opportunity to thrive in a difficult market.
